Surreal truths
A woman rides the bus with a bird on her head, a pigeon or another from a family of street birds. The perch has a rolling cart beside her and a guttural cackle of a laugh. She turns toward the front and the woman beside her mouths “Is it alive?” across the aisle and holds up her phone for a photo. The birds pulls at her hair, opening its black wings and setting them down again.
